Check the End to end continuity using multi-meter Step 3 Check the sensor physically Physical check Step 4 If the problem persists, replace the sensor - Circuit Description: ECM monitors the Air mass flow with the help of AMF sensor. The AMF sensor is hot film type. The hot film is supplied with electric current from the Engine Control Module ECM. The temperature of the hot film is controlled by ECM by a certain amount. The heat generated by the hot film is reduced as the intake air flows around it. The more the air flow is, the greater the heat loss. Therefore, ECM must supply more electric current to maintain the temperature of the hot film as air flow increases. ECM detects the air flow by means of this current change.
