Check Electrical connections Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check connector is connected properly Remove and connect again Step 2 Check for continuity between sensor connector pins 1, 2 and ECU pins battery supply (12V), A72 respectively Check the continuity between the actuator and ECU Step 3 Check the EVRV physically Connect the ECU connector properly Step 4 If the problem persists, replace the EVRV Physical check Circuit Description: ECM in accordance with engine and driving conditions gives a PWM output to directly drive a vacuum operated actuator (EVRV) which in turn drives the EGR bypass valve. Hence ECM indirectly controls the opening and closing of EGR bypass valve. EVRV provides variable vacuum levels to drive the EGR bypass valve.
