Accelerator pedal stuck 2. APP (Accelerator pedal position) Module is defective/sensor defective 3. Wiring harness short circuit 4. Connector loose/not connected Accelerator pedal will not respond properly Performance deterioration on vehicle/Limp home mode is active. Component Details: The accelerator-pedal module (APM) consists of the accelerator pedal and an angular-position sensor. This sensor registers the movement and position of the accelerator pedal. From this information, the engine management calculates the required torque. Checkpoints: 1. Check Accelerator pedal sensor connection 2. Check wiring harness for continuity 3. Check ECU connection Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the accelerator pedal is free to move. If the pedal is jammed replace the Pedal module and recheck Not stuck Step 2 Check the brake switch setting. If the problem is with the setting perform the necessary repairs. Proper connections Step 3 Check ECU Connection: 1] Key off. 2] Remove the ECU Connector. 3] Connect ECU connector Properly. 4] Key on and Read the faults Step 4 Check wiring harness for continuity open/ short circuit between APP (accelerator pedal position module) module connector pins to ECU pins Electrical continuity: zero ohms in Multi-meter Step 5 Check for any damage on APP module connector pins and ECU connector pins Step 6 If problem still persists. Replace accelerator pedal Step 7 If the problem still persists. Replace the Brake switch Step 8 If the problem still persists. Replace The ECU.
