Wiring Harness problem 2. Incorrect fitment of sensor 3. Sensor damaged/malfunctioning 4.Speed senor rubbing on fly wheel 5. Flywheel teeth damaged. 6. Sensor connector damage Engine vibration/abnormal behavior Component Details: The crankshaft position sensor is to determine the position and/or rotational speed of the crank. ECU use the information transmitted by the sensor to control fuel injection. The sensor output is also related to other sensor data including the cam position to derive the current combustion cycle, this is very important for the starting of a four stroke engine. Checkpoints: 1. Check wiring harness of crank shaft sensor circuit 2. Check flywheel teeth for any damage 3. Check crankshaft sensor for any damage 4. Check gap between crank shaft sensor and flywheel teeth Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check crank shaft sensor connector is connected properly Step 2 Check for continuity / open/ short between sensor connector pins Step 3 Check the gap between the Crank sensor tip and flywheel sensing surface. Specified gap (0.3 to 1.8 mm) Step 4 Check for the proper fitment of the crank sensor Step 5 Replace the sensor if the problem persists Circuit Schematic Diagram: Component Location and Image:
