A short or open in the Lambda heater circuit in the sensor 2. Failed Lambda sensor heater 3. Faulty Intake Throttle 4. Wiring/connectors broken/frayed leading to sensor and/or relay 5. Failed/Aged LNT Reduced torque activated Component Details: A good working LNT adsorbs more NOx so that more reductants are required to purge & also it stores more Oxygen. Whereas an inert LNT or a failed LNT there will be very less amount of NOx stored so that once the Regeneration is triggered, the Lambda sensors Cross over will happen immediately. Also, there won’t be any significant Oxygen storage. Checkpoints: 1. Upstream and downstream Lambda sensor connection/errors 2. Faulty Intake throttle operation 3. After treatment system – LNT aged/failure Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check for any short or open in the heater circuit in the sensor Continuity Step 2 Check for Lambda and intake throttle sensor functionality Functionality Step 3 Check for Wiring/connectors broken/frayed leading to lambda and intake throttle sensor and/or relay Physical check Step 4 Check if there is any oxidation, rust, mud, dirt, foreign particle accumulation on the connector Functionality Step 5 Check if there is any physical damage of Throttle actuator or its connector Step 6 Check for any failure/damages to the After treatment system (LNT+DPF) Step 7 If problem persists replace After treatment system
