This document must not be used in any way, such as copying and redistributing to third parties, without our consent P0500-00: Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Overview: Code Cause Effect on Vehicle Fault Code: P0500- 00 ABS ECU, CAN Bus, Wiring harness, Vehicle speed sensor & EMS ECU 1. CE lamp will glow 2. Reduce torque active, power loss 3. No indication of vehicle speed current gear & gear shift indication on IC (instrument cluster) Component Details: Wheel speed sensor (in ABS version) & Vehicle Speed Sensor (in Non ABS version) determines vehicle speed & communicates to EMS ECU & BCM via ESP/ABS ECU & CAN. In ESP/ABS version it is mounted on the wheel hub of each of the four wheels independently while in case of Non ABS version it is mounted on gear box housing at output shaft Trouble Shooting: Step Checks If Yes If No 1 Check if there is any DTC in the ABS/ESP ECU? Rectify this fault by following its rectification procedure Go to Step 2 2 Check if there are any CAN bus related DTC? Rectify this fault by following its rectification procedure Go to Step 3 3 Check if the wiring harness connector is properly connected to the EMS ECU, & no damage or pin back out? Go to Step 4 Do the necessary repair 4 Check if the problem still persists? Call Hot Line Follow the steps again for reconfirmation Circuit Schematic Diagram:
