This document must not be used in any way, such as copying and redistributing to third parties, without our consent Check for Reference voltage 1 fault if present; Follow Reference voltage1 (sensor supply voltage1) check and rectification Procedure, to correct this fault before proceeding further Check the pedal connector connected to the pedal sensor/ module. Check sensor connections for rust dirt etc; clean the sensor connections and ensure proper fitment. Check Intermediate connector; Remove Intermediate connector between EMS harness and vehicle wiring harness. Check for terminal back out. Do necessary repairs, then reconnect and check the fault. Visually check sensor; Replace sensor if damaged. Check for back out / Damage of Pins at APM Sensor connector, EMS ECU connector. If found, perform necessary repairs. Trouble Shooting: Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Is there any rust/oxidization observed on Sensor Terminals Clean the Rust or repair or replace Go to Step 2 2. Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU pins B59,B32,B15 &Accelerator pedal Sensor connector pins 4,2,3. Go to Step 3 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 3 Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU pins B60, B36, B19&Accelerator pedal Sensor connector pins 6,1,5 G to next step Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 4. Are there any pins damaged at Sensor/EMS ECU Connector Replace the connector or wiring harness Go to step 5 5 Are there any pins backed out from the Sensor/EMS ECU Connector Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 6 6 Is Sensor Supply Pin B32/B36 Short circuited to Battery/GND or open? Repair the harness as per the schematic Go to step 7 7 Is Sensor Signal Pin B59/B60 Short circuited to battery/GND or open circuited? Repair the harness as per the schematic Go to Step 8 8 Is sensor physically Damaged Replace Sensor Go to Step 9 9 Fault Still Persists? Replace Sensor and then Fault still persists then Call Hot Line Follow the steps again for reconfirmation DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer): After rectification, ensure the following points by referring Accelerator pedal position parameter using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer -
