P000A-26: “A” Camshaft Position Slow Response– Signal Rate of Change Below Threshold Overview: ISO Code P000A-26 Customer Symptom MIL turns ON. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) It will not effect drivability. Emission will get affected 1. RPM oscillation 2. Improper combustion 3. Manifold pressure will be affected which may leads to throttle leakage Lamp Status (If Any) MIL ON after 3 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged when there is an issue in, Inlet Variable Valve Timing control slow response Normal Operating Condition When the signal rate is within threshold Probable Trouble Area 1. Faulty oil control valve 2. Leakage in the oil gallery 3. Less quantity of oil 4. Less oil temperature 5. Miss alignment of camshaft 6. Wiring Harness connections, back out of pins, 7. Faulty ECU. Healing Condition After 3 drive cycles Fault present deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool. 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: The variable camshaft timing oil control solenoid is attached to camshaft and is hydraulically operated in order to change the angle of the camshaft relative to crankshaft position. The variable camshaft timing oil control solenoid is controlled by the EMS ECU. The EMS ECU sends a pulse width modulated 12 volt signal to a variable camshaft timing oil control solenoid. The solenoid controls the amount of engine oil flow Preliminary Checks: 1. Check oil control valve 2. Check leakage in the oil gallery 3. Check quantity of oil 4. Check oil temperature 5. Check alignment of camshaft 6. Check the continuity from Valve (IVVT) connector pins to the ECU pins.
