U1322 - 08: - Lost Communication with Battery Management System (BMS) module - Bus Signal / Message Failures Overview: ISO Code U1322 - 08 Customer Symptom HV Critical Alert Tell-tale is seen blinking on cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle is not operable. Charging will not happen. Lamp Status (If Any) HV critical lamp is Blinking on the cluster Fault Detection Condition This DTC gets logged when BMS lost CAN communication with VCU Normal Operating Condition Proper CAN communication normal between BMS and VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness BMS signal connector/terminals BMS unit Healing Condition Disconnect the BMS and connect it back after VCU sleeps Component Details: HV Battery is the energy storage system of the electric vehicle and primary functions are to provide power during drive and accept power during charging. Battery Management System (BMS) communicates through VECU via CAN messages to transmit HV Battery Voltage, current, State of Charge, temperature etc. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check for proper terminal connection of 12V LV Battery 2. Check LV Battery voltage to be in range (7.5V - 14V) 3. Check LV Supply Connection of BMS for damage (connectors, terminals bending & rusting of pins) 4. Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between BMS and VCU 5. Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between BMS and VCU 6. P304B – 09 HV fuse of MCU component failure will be triggered by this DTC. Resolve this DTC first.
