CONTROLLED COPY FOR RESTRICTED CIRCULATION © TATA MOTORS LTD. 4) Remove the old PEPS ECU from bracket. 5) Fix the new PEPS ECU on bracket. 6) Connect all the PEPS ECU connectors into their respective sockets. 7) Ensure that all connectors are fitted tightly and properly. 8) Connect the battery. 9) Connect the diagnostic tool to OBD connector. 10) Flash the vehicle specific calibration file uploaded on server. NOTE: Please refer PEPS service diagnostics specification for calibration file flashing procedure. 11) Turn ON the IGN by pressing the start-stop switch (Free IGN ON irrespective of the smart key / wearable location). If Free IGN ON is disabled, enable it with the help of diagnostic tool. a) Send service request $ 31 01 4F 12 00. b) Check Start routine response of the routine 71 01 4F 12 XX YY ZZ, where XX = Routine status, YY = Reset Status & ZZ = Number of remaining free IGN ON (This value should be equal to DID 4441 value. Default is 0x19). c) If( XX == 0x01 && YY==0x01 && ZZ=0x19) { Successful }// END (If XX == 0x01 && YY==0x01 && ZZ=0x19) Else { Unsuccessful }//END else (If XX == 0x01 && YY==0x01 && ZZ=0x19) 12)Read the following ECU Part numbers and compare with the server. a) Vehicle Manufacturer Spare Part Number ($22 F1 87). b) ECU Application Software Number ($22 72 41). c) Application Software Identification ($22 F1 81).
