Restraints Control Module AB12 (SRS / Airbag) ECU Replacement Procedure Version: 4.0 Date: 15-July-2021 Author: Airbag CoC, ERC Page: 4 of 14 Note: Unique Parameterization number has been defined ensuring correct configuration and required Calibration for defined VC. Look up table shall be flashed on service tool window to read the required ECU details (Assembly number, Parameterization number and CAL parameter ID) for respective VC. While comparing any part numbers, only 12 digits to be compared. Revision (NR,A,B….etc.) of the Part Number shall not be checked/compared. 13. Perform Application and Calibration programming with the respective files present on the server for the Vehicle variant. Refer Annexure1 for Programming sequence. 14. ECU data writing as per VC: a. Go to extended session (10 03) & Get the security access for the SRS (Airbag) ECU with the dll (using production key in build in service tool). b. Check whether the Firing is enabled or disabled using the service 22 40 13 (00 – Firing enabled, FF – Firing disabled). If Firing is enabled, display the Warning and stop the EOL sequence for Airbag ECU. c. Write VIN (Vehicle Identification number - $2E F190 Data) inside the ECU (VIN as read in step 9) d. Write the ECU installation date ($2E F19D Data – should be in yymmdd format) inside the ECU. e. Write the Parameterization number ($2E 7244 Data) inside the ECU as per VC (VC as read in step 11) f. Write the correct configuration ($2E 4010 Data) inside the ECU as per VC number (Please refer to Look up table or as per R16 server). g. Write the correct Passenger SBR Switch & Chime configuration ($2E 401A Data) inside the ECU as per VC number (Please refer to Look up table or as per R16 server). h. Write the correct Rear Passenger SBR Switch & Chime configuration ($2E 401B Data) inside the ECU as per VC number (Please refer to Look up table or as per R16 server). i. Write correct PAB switch logic ($2E 4018 Data) inside the ECU as per VC number (Please refer to Look up table or as per R16 server).
