P1233 - 17:- BMS power supply high fault - circuit voltage above threshold Overview: ISO Code P1233 - 17 Customer Symptom Vehicle cannot be cranked Fault Effects (On Vehicle) LV Battery voltage is high Lamp Status (If Any) HV Fault on cluster Fault occurrence scenario(In the order of probability) LV Battery voltage >32 V Normal Operating Condition LV Battery voltage is around 12V Probable Trouble Area Low voltage supply / DC-DC converter Healing Condition Re-igniting the vehicle Component Details: LV battery is required to supply a minimum of 9V to the BMS for BMS wakeup. If the LV voltage is too high, there is over supply of power to the BMS. Preliminary Checks: 1) Ensure the vehicle is parked and not in charging. 2) Ensure that the vehicle is in ignition ON condition. Inspection Method: - 1) Check the whether the LV battery voltage is around 12 V. 2) If LV is 12V, then check the battery supply across pin A, C in lv connector. Rectification Action: 1) If DTC is appearing in real time, clear DTC information through service tool 2) If DTC is not appearing in real-time but has only occurred before, store the snapshot data. 3) Clear the DTC information on the respective DTC ID. DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, ensure the following points by referring to BMS DID list using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. 1) Read Parameter 3413 (BMS_InsulationResValue) to confirm that value is more than 500Ω/V 2) If not replace the battery pack.
