PSCM DTC Troubleshooting Guide for Mando EPAS Version: 1.1 Date: 14/01/2019 Author: E&E Chassis - ERC Page35 C1319-01: Torque Sensor Check Error Fail ISO Code C1319-01 Customer Symptom No PSCM functionality (Heavy steering) Fault Effects (On Vehicle) No assistance Lamp Status (If Any) Warning Lamp ON ; G/Driver OFF ; Motor OFF Fault Detection Condition 1. SENT1 CRC Error Pre-condition - (For SENT1 Detection) SENT1 received normally AND 4.5V < SVCC1(SENT1 supply voltage) < 5.5V normally 2. SENT2 CRC Error Pre-condition - (For SENT2 Detection) SENT2 received normally AND 4.5V < SVCC2(SENT2 supply voltage) < 5.5V normally Normal Operating Condition PSCM should provide assist if steering wheel is steered after engine is cranked. Normal operating range: ECU will be awake from 6V to 24V. Full assistance is b/w 10V to 18V Low volt. reduced assistance is b/w 8.3V to 10V High volt. reduced assistance is b/w 18V to 24V Probable Trouble Area SENT1 MCU failure, SENT2 MCU failure, MCU DMA port failure Short circuit at torque sensor supply wire Healing Condition Failure is not detected in the next IGN cycle Component Details: Steering Torque Sensor – The torque sensor detects the twist of the torsion bar and converts the applied torque into an electrical signal. The PSCM ECU uses that signal to calculate the amount of power assist the DC motor should provide. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check cable and connector from torque sensor to the ECU for damage. If not ok change the steering column. 2. Check ECU side connector pin bend /damage. If pins are not ok than replace the ECU.
