Pre-checks/tasks to be done before replacing the SSB 1) Perform all the necessary checks as per the troubleshooting guide, at wire harness, switches, circuit short to ground, short to battery or open, etc. 2) If step-1 above is NOT OK, i.e. fault is not rectified, then follow the SSB replacement procedure given below. 2.2. SSB replacement procedure Prerequisite: 1) New SSB shall be available for replacement. PROCEDURE: 1) Disconnect the vehicle battery. 2) Locate the SSB (Refer Figure-1 for location of the SSB). 3) Unscrew SSB with dedicated screw panel. (Refer Figure-3 for location of the SSB) 4) Remove SSB from dashboard (Refer Figure-4) 5) Remove SSB connector (Refer Figure-2 for SSB connector fitment details). 6) Remove the old SSB. 7) Fix the new SSB. 8) Connect SSB connector into their respective sockets. 9) Ensure that SSB connector is fitted tightly and properly. 10) Fix the dashboard. 11) Connect the vehicle battery. 12) After replacing the SSB, check various vehicle states viz. ACC/ IGN ON/ CRANK by pressing the SSB. NOTE: The vehicle UID shall be present during SSB press. 13) Connect the Diagnostics tool and clear the DTCs.
