Additional Instructions:  MSD does not require substantial force to be removed from the battery. Hence, the lever should not be pulled out by force and the 4 step procedure has to be adhered to.  In case of dirt accumulation on the lever, MSD’s pivot can be sprayed on with water to loosen the lever.  MSDs are not interchangeable and the MSD of a battery pack has to be retained with the same pack throughout the pack’s usage. Only in case of failure of the MSD should it be replaced with a new MSD. APPENDIX-C: TOOL CONNECTION AND COMMUNICATION  The image below shows the OBD2 port which is available in the vehicle just below the steering wheel.  The Samtec HS Light II is connected to the vehicle OBD2 port with the OBD2 to DB15 harness, and the tool is connected to the laptop via USB to operate TDS software.  After connecting the above, open TDS for Passanger vehicles and select the appropriate vehicle details and click on next.  Now go to manual scan and select ECU type as BMS to monitor DTCs related to Battery.
