Go to step 2 Go to step 2 2 Send clear DTC command Check if DTC is erased Go to step 8 Go to step 3 3 Send Read DTC command using tool again Check if DTC is in confirmed state. Go to Step 4 Go to 7 4 Ensure VECU state to go in sleep mode: Switch off the vehicle ignition. Remove tool connection from OBD. Ensure all doors are closed and lock via key. Wait for 1 min After 1 min VECU goes to sleep mode. Go to step 5 Repeat the process mentioned in step 4 5 Give Ignition ON command. Connect service tool to OBD connector. Send Read DTC command Check for the DTCs present in confirmed state. If the DTC is still in ‘Confirmed’ state VCU issue Go to step 6. 6 Check the DTC state mentioned in service tool Check if the DTC is in ‘memorized’ or any other state except ‘confirmed’. Go to step 7 NA 7 Send Clear DTC command Check if DTC is erased Go to step 8 VCU issue
