P3004 – 8F: - Accelerator Pedal Sensor 1 and Sensor 2 values inconsistent - erratic Overview: ISO Code P3004-8F Customer Symptom Vehicle is operable with reduced power Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will be driveable in creep mode only. Lamp Status (If Any) EV Limp home telltale blinking Fault Detection Condition The fault is detected if there is discrepancy in sensor 1 and sensor 2 value received to VCU Normal Operating Condition Vehicle controller senses difference between accelerator pedal sensor 1 and sensor 2 value to be within particular threshold band. Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness Accelerator pedal sensor connector Accelerator pedal sensor assembly on pedal Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. However, cluster indication will be ON till one drive cycle of vehicle, until DTC is cleared using tester tool. Component Details: Accelerator pedal sensor transmits the position of the accelerator pedal to the Vehicle Control Unit. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and sensor 2. Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and sensor 3. Physically inspect sensor for damage Trouble Shooting: - Using TML diagnostic read the following vehicle parameter as follows Vehicle should be in Ignition ON Mode.
