Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Battery cooling solenoid valve will not open leading to battery cooling system not to function. Chances of HV battery getting over heat. amp Status (If Any) If temperature of battery is reached above operable threshold, battery over-heat tell-tale is seen on cluster. Fault Detection Condition Short circuit of Battery cooling solenoid valve activation line to Battery 12V Normal Operating Condition Solenoid valve will open and close depending on the input received from the VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring harness Solenoid valve LV connection Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. Component Details: Battery cooling chiller solenoid valve receives electrical input from VCU for opening and closing of solenoid valve. Preliminary Checks: Loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and actuator Damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and actuator Trouble Shooting: - 1. Remove the LV battery connections. Step No. Description Check point If Yes If No 1 Remove the LV connector of Solenoid Check continuity between supply pin and LSD pin of Solenoid LV connector Pin 1 and 2 Problem is in the Solenoid. Go to Step 2
