P3028 - 11: - Cabin cooling Evaporator solenoid valve activation line - circuit short to ground Overview: ISO Code P3028-11 Customer Symptom Cabin cooling observed Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Cabin cooling solenoid valve will always be in open position leading to battery cooling system to be continuously ON. Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition Short circuit of pin Cabin cooling Evaporator solenoid valve activation line to Ground Normal Operating Condition Solenoid valve will open and close depending on the input received from the VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring harness Solenoid valve LV connection Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. Component Details: Cabin cooling Evaporator solenoid valve activation line receives electrical input from VCU and converts to the required physical quantity to change the amount of opening of solenoid valve. Preliminary Checks: Loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and actuator Damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and actuator Trouble Shooting: - 1. Remove the LV battery connections. Step No. Description Check point If Yes If No 1 Remove the LV connector of Solenoid Check continuity between Chassis and LSD pin of Solenoid LV connector. Problem is in the Solenoid. Action: Replace the Solenoid and Go to step 1. Go to Step 2
