Passenger compartment heating not possible Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition PTC contactor doesn’t close even when VCU provides ground to PTC contactor coil for activation PTC Contactor Low Side activation line short circuit to battery Normal Operating Condition VCU operates PTC contactor to close and open as per heating demand from vehicle/driver Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness PDU LV connector Inside PDU Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. However, cluster indication will be ON till one drive cycle of vehicle, until DTC is cleared using tester tool. Component Details: VCU operates PTC contactor to close and open as per heating demand from vehicle/driver. PTC is used for heating of passenger compartment. Preliminary Checks: Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and PDU LV connector Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and PDU LV connector Visually inspect PDU for damage
