P3032 - 12: - Traction cooling slow fan relay activation line - circuit short to battery Overview: ISO Code P3032 - 12 Customer Symptom Radiator fan does not operate in slow mode Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Traction cooling fan does not operate in slow mode as per the VCU command Lamp Status (If Any) No specific lamp indication If temperature of traction system is reached above operable threshold, high temperature alert for motor is seen on cluster. Fault Detection Condition Traction cooling slow fan relay activation line short circuit to battery Normal Operating Condition Based on the signal from VCU, operation of fan in slow mode is enabled or disabled Probable Trouble Area LV wiring connections Intermediate connections Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. Component Details: Traction cooling fan is operated in slow mode as per the signal received from powertrain VCU. The on and off command is given depending on the temperature of traction components. Preliminary Checks: Damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and actuator Trouble Shooting: - 1. Remove the LV battery connections. Step No. Description Check point If Yes If No 1 Remove the LV connector of relay Check continuity between supply pin and LSD pin of relay LV connector Problem is in the relay. Action: Replace the relay and Go to step 1. Go to Step 2
