P3038 - 12: - HV Battery key on activation line - circuit short to battery Overview: ISO Code P3028 - 12 Customer Symptom HV Critical Alert Tell-tale is glowing on the cluster Fault Effects (On Vehicle) The vehicle is drivable as per driver inputs. No effect on vehicle drive ability Lamp Status (If Any) HV critical lamp ON on cluster Fault Detection Condition HV Battery key on relay activation line - circuit short to battery Normal Operating Condition HV battery key on relay operates as per input received from VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. However, cluster indication will be ON till one drive cycle of vehicle, until DTC is cleared using tester tool. Component Details: HV Battery is the energy storage system of the electric vehicle and primary functions are to provide power during drive and accept power during charging. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check for proper terminal connection of 12V LV Battery 2. Check LV Battery voltage to be in range (9 V - 14V) 3. Check LV Supply Connection of HV battery for damage (connectors, terminals bending & rusting of pins) HV Battery HV Battery Keep alive relay 12V LV Battery LV Signal from VCU
