MCU (Motor Control Unit) contactor or E drive contactor is present in Power Distribution Unit and is used to enable and disable HV voltage to E-drive as per command given by VCU. Preliminary Checks: Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and PDU LV connector Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and PDU LV connector Visually inspect PDU for damage Trouble Shooting: - Step No. Description Check point If Yes If No 1. Check other DTCs related to MCU contactor Check if DTC P3030-11 is there Go through troubleshooting of DTC P3030-11 Go to step 2 2 Remove MCU connector: HC1010, DC-DC connector: HC1008 and LV connector of PDU Check continuity on PDU side connector as below: Continuity between Pin2 of HC1010 and Pin 1 of HC1008 Problem is in the PDU. Action: Replace the PDU and Go to step 1. Wrong weld detection in software DTC’s confirmation: - After rectification, send Clear the DTC command by using TML diagnostic tool. Send ‘Read DTC’ command and verify if the DTC is still present in confirmed/memorized state. If DTC still exist, send ‘write parameter’ as per below DID No Vehicle Parameter Name Write Value 348C Powertrain Config State 2 0 Read the parameter value and confirm that the value is properly written in VCU.
