P1204 - 16:- BMS cell voltage low first level alarm - circuit voltage below threshold Overview: ISO Code P1204 - 16 Customer Symptom NA Fault Effects (On Vehicle) None Lamp Status (If Any) None Fault occurrence scenario (In the order of probability) 1.Driving at low SOCs Normal Operating Condition No fault Probable Trouble Area Internal to battery pack Software bug in VCU Software bug in BMS Healing Condition Vehicle stop and HV disconnect System Details: Cell voltage is detected by the BMS internally and the value of the minimum cell voltage is populated in diagnostics through DID parameter 3417. Preliminary Checks: 1) Ensure the vehicle is parked and not in charging 2) Ensure that the vehicle is in ignition ON condition Inspection Method: Connect the tool and communicate to the battery pack as instructed through APPENDIX-C Read DTC information of DTC ID – P1204-16 Rectification Action: 1) If DTC is appearing in real time, clear DTC information through service tool 2) If DTC is not appearing in real-time but has only occurred before, store the snapshot data. 3) Clear the DTC information on the respective DTC ID. DTC’s confirmation: After clearing, ensure the following points by referring to BMS DTC list. 1) Read DTC ID – P1204-16 for the existence of DTC information. 2) If DTC still exists, reflash the battery pack using the service tool with the latest release SW available in PLM database. 3) Read DTC ID – P1204-16 for the existence of DTC information post flashing. 4) If DTC still exists, the HV battery pack component has to be replaced as instructed by the respective ECU replacement guide Component Location & Image; Connector Location; Connector View & Information: - APPENDIX-A
