P1210 - 21:- BMS SOC low first level alarm - signal amplitude < minimum Overview: ISO Code P1210 - 21 Customer Symptom Vehicle may go to limp home mode Fault Effects (On Vehicle) NA Lamp Status (If Any) Tortoise Lamp with Limited performance Fault occurrence scenario SOC on cluster shows < 15% Normal Operating Condition SOC on cluster shows > 15% Probable Trouble Area Software bug in VCU Software bug in BMS Deep Discharge Healing Condition Charging System Details: Battery SOC is estimated by the BMS and the value of the SOC is populated in diagnostics through DID parameter 3402. Preliminary Checks: 1) Ensure the vehicle is parked ignition is in ON condition. 2) Charge the vehicle as instructed and check whether the SOC is increasing. Inspection Method: Connect the tool and communicate to the battery pack as instructed through APPENDIX-C Read DTC information of DTC ID – P1210 - 21 Rectification Action: 1) If DTC is appearing in real time, clear DTC information through service tool 2) If DTC is not appearing in real-time but has only occurred before, store the snapshot data. 3) Clear the DTC information on the respective DTC ID. DTC’s confirmation: After clearing, ensure the following points by referring to BMS DTC list. 1) Read DTC ID – P1210 – 21 for the existence of DTC information. 2) If DTC still exists, reflash the battery pack using the service tool with the latest release SW available in PLM database. 3) Read DTC ID – P1210 – 21 for the existence of DTC information post flashing. 4) If DTC still exists, the HV battery pack component has to be replaced as instructed by the respective ECU replacement guide Component Location & Image; Connector Location; Connector View & Information: - APPENDIX-A
