P3071 - 73 :- BMS_Precharging HW third level fault Overview: ISO Code P3071 - 73 Customer Symptom Vehicle will not crank Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Battery will be non functional Lamp Status (If Any) HV fault on cluster Fault occurrence scenario (In the order of probability) Battery will be disconnected Normal Operating Condition No fault Probable Trouble Area Precharging circuit Healing Condition NA System Details: Precharge circuit is used to limit the high inrush current during discharging. Once precharging operation is complete the main positive relay closes and precharge circuit is disconnected. Preliminary Checks: 1) Ensure the vehicle is parked and not in charging 2) Ensure that the vehicle is in ignition ON condition Inspection Method: Connect the tool and communicate to the battery pack as instructed through APPENDIX-C Read DTC information of DTC ID – P3071 - 73 Rectification Action: 1) If DTC is appearing in real time, clear DTC information through service tool 2) If DTC is not appearing in real-time but has only occurred before, store the snapshot data. store the snapshot data. 3) Clear the DTC information on the respective DTC ID. DTC’s confirmation: After clearing, ensure the following points by referring to BMS DTC list. 1) Read DTC ID – P3071 - 73 for the existence of DTC information. 2) If DTC still exists, reflash the battery pack using the service tool with the latest release SW available in PLM database. 3) Read DTC ID – P3071- 73 or the existence of DTC information post flashing. 4) If DTC still exists, the HV battery pack component has to be replaced as instructed by the respective ECU replacement guide Component Location & Image; Connector Location; Connector View & Information: - APPENDIX-A
