U0046 - 13: - Vehicle Communication Bus C - circuit open Overview: ISO Code U0046 - 13 Customer Symptom Vehicle is operable with reduced power. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) VECU cannot communicate on Diagnostic CAN network. Vehicle speed will be limited to 50 kmph Lamp Status (If Any) If DTC with respect to VECU only , Limp home telltale blinking If entire Diagnostic CAN bus fault, all the tell take will remain continuously ON (as per instrument cluster ECU) Fault Detection Condition Open circuit at Diagnostic CAN network Normal Operating Condition Diagnostic CAN communication is healthy Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. Component Details: Vehicle Electronic Control Unit (VECU) is responsible to control the Powertrain components as per the inputs received from user/driver for vehicle drivability. Preliminary Checks: Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections to VCU. Trouble Shooting: - Check for the LV wiring harness connection between VCU and all the components connected on Diagnostic CAN network as per the details given in LV schematic. DTC’s confirmation: - After rectification, read DTC by using TML diagnostic tool and Clear the DTC.
