P302F - 12: - PTC Contactor Low Side activation line - circuit short to battery Overview: ISO Code P302F - 12 Customer Symptom Passenger compartment heating does not take place even after heater is turned ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) PTC does not operate. Passenger compartment heating not possible Lamp Status (If Any) Service Indicator Lamp is ON, on the cluster Fault Detection Condition PTC contactor doesn’t close even when VCU provides ground to PTC contactor coil for activation PTC Contactor Low Side activation line short circuit to battery Normal Operating Condition VCU operates PTC contactor to close and open as per heating demand from vehicle/driver Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness 3 in 1 combo-PDU LV connector Inside 3 in 1 combo-PDU Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. However, cluster indication will be ON till one drive cycle of vehicle, until DTC is cleared using tester tool. Component Details: VCU operates PTC contactor to close and open as per heating demand from vehicle/driver. PTC is used for heating of passenger compartment. Preliminary Checks:
