P3030 - 12: - E-Drive Contactor Low Side activation line - circuit short to battery Overview: ISO Code P3030-12 Customer Symptom HV Critical Alert Tell-tale is seen blinking on cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not be drivable. If vehicle is in running condition, it will go from Drive to Neutral. Air conditioning will be disabled. Vehicle may not crank in the next Ignition cycle if this error is in confirmed state. E drive doesn’t operate as high voltage is not received. Precharge error may occur. Lamp Status (If Any) HV critical lamp is Blinking on the cluster Fault Detection Condition E-Drive Contactor Low Side activation line short circuit to battery Normal Operating Condition E drive contactor operates as per command given by VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness 3 in 1 combo-PDU LV connector Inside 3 in 1 combo-PDU Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory. However, cluster indication will be ON till one drive cycle of vehicle, until DTC is cleared using tester tool. Component Details: E drive contactor is present in Power Distribution Unit and is used to enable and disable HV voltage to E-drive as per command given by VCU. Preliminary Checks: Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and 3 in 1 combo-PDU LV connector Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and 3 in 1 combo-PDU LV connector Visually inspect 3 in 1 combo-PDU for damage
