U132C - 08: - Lost Communication with Gear Selector Switch (GSS) module - Bus Signal / Message Failures Overview: ISO Code (If applicable) U132C - 08 Customer Symptom Vehicle will come to neutral. Drive/Reverse/Sport mode cannot be selected Fault Effect (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not be drivable as Drive/Reverse/Sport mode cannot be selected Lamp Status (If Any) Drive/Reverse/Sport becomes Neutral gear as seen on the cluster Fault Detection Condition This DTC gets logged when GSS lost CAN communication with VCU Normal Operating Condition Proper CAN communication between GSS and VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness GSS CAN connector/terminals GSS unit Healing Condition Disconnect the GSS and connect it back after VCU sleeps Component Details: The Gear Selector switch is used to select the gear Drive/Reverse/Neutral and Sport vehicle mode by communicating through VECU via CAN messages. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check for proper terminal connection of 12V LV Battery 2. Check LV Battery voltage to be in range (7.5V - 14V) 3. Check LV Supply Connection of GSS for damage (connectors, terminals bending & rusting of pins) 4. Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between GSS and VCU 5. Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between GSS and VCU Trouble Shooting: - 1. Check for the GSS ECU supply pin and ignition pin connection from LV battery to ECU.
