U0151 - 08: - Lost Communication with Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) module - Bus Signal / Message Failures Overview: ISO Code (If applicable) U0151-08 Customer Symptom No symptom Fault Effect (On Vehicle) Communication between VECU and SRS module is lost Lamp Status (If Any) No indication Fault Detection Condition This DTC gets logged when SRS lost CAN communication with VCU Normal Operating Condition Proper CAN communication normal between SRS and VCU Probable Trouble Area LV wiring Harness SRS signal connector/terminals SRS unit Healing Condition Disconnect the SRS and connect it back after VCU sleeps Component Details: Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) module controls the operation of Air-bags inflation upon the reception of the crash signal. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check for proper terminal connection of 12V LV Battery 2. Check LV Battery voltage to be in range (7.5V - 14V) 3. Check LV Supply Connection of SRS for damage (connectors, terminals bending & rusting of pins) 4. Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between SRS and VCU 5. Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between SRS and VCU Trouble Shooting: - 1. Check for the SRS ECU supply pin and ignition pin connection from LV battery to ECU. (Refer schematic for details) 2. Check for the LV wiring harness connection between VCU and SRS ECU on Vehicle CAN network as per the details given in LV schematic.
