P30B1 - 15: Eco/Sports Switch sensor input to VECU - circuit short to battery or open Overview: ISO Code P30B1 - 15 Customer Symptom Vehicle is operable, but mode change cannot happen Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle is operable with default – City mode Lamp Status (If Any) Service lamp ON Fault Detection Condition Short to battery is detected by the vehicle controller when Eco/Sports switch value is greater than upper threshold value Normal Operating Condition Eco/Sports switch input is within the operating range and accordingly vehicle mode can be selected, and changed Probable Trouble Area Eco/Sports Mode selection Switch LV wiring Harness Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory Component Details: Eco/Sports switch is used to change the Drive modes – Eco/ City/ Sports. Default City Mode is selected. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check for loose connection of LV wiring harness between VCU and Eco/Sports switch 2. Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and Eco/Sports switch 3. Visually inspect Eco/Sports switch for damage Trouble Shooting: - Remove the LV battery connections
