Remove the VCU and vehicle inlet connectors. Connect all the inline connectors between VCU and vehicle inlet and check for end-toend continuity in harness Check if there is a continuity between 1. VCU connector C776A Pin 48 and the vehicle inlet temperature sense line (Connector C448A- pin 9) 2. VCU connector C776A Pin 31 and the vehicle inlet temperature sense line - ground (Connector C448A- pin 10) Connection is okay Go to step 2 Check for harness damage and replace the harness 2. Check the short to ground at sensor Check the ambient temperature and measure the voltage between sensor pins using multimeter. Map the voltage of the sensor with the table given below If thermistor resistance is not the threshold value, Problem is with sensor Action: Replace the sensor Go to step 3 3. Check for the short at VECU pin side Check the connectivity between K48 pin to GND NOTE: Default value of AC Inlet power line Temp Sensor Count Value at room temperature should be between 135 to 150 (For 25 deg C to 30 deg C) Short circuit to GND at VECU pin Problem with VECU pin Action: Replace VECU End DTC’s confirmation: - After rectification, send Clear the DTC command by using TML diagnostic tool. Ensure no DTC is in defect/ confirmed state before handing over to customer
