P3051 - 04: - DC Fast Charging CCS PLC Chip - System Internal Failures Overview: ISO Code P3051 - 04 Customer Symptom Vehicle would not go into charging mode in fast charging Fault Effects (On Vehicle) The vehicle is drivable and slow charging is possible but DC Fast charging will not happen Lamp Status (If Any) Charging fault indication lamp is blinking on the cluster when fast charging gun is plugged in vehicle charging inlet socket Fault Detection Condition Power line communication chip temperature sensor voltage out of range detected Normal Operating Condition Power line communication chip temperature sensor voltage is within the operating range Probable Trouble Area PLC temperature sensor connections to EVCU and ground Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory Component Details: PLC temperature sensor detects the temperature of the PLC chip. Preliminary Checks: NA Trouble Shooting: - 1. Remove the LV battery connections. Step No. Description Check point If yes If No 1. Recouple EVCU connectors Try Fast Charging and Check for reoccurrence of fault code P3051-04 using TML diagnostic tool. Go to Step 2 2. Check Continuity between EVCU's supply pins and Battery terminals Check continuity between EVCU's supply pin C776A-4,5,6 and battery positive terminal and continuity between EVCU's ground pin C776A-2,3 and battery negative terminal Problem is in EVCU. Action: Replace EVCU and try Fast Charging Problem is in wiring harness between Battery and EVCU Action: Repair harness
