P3083 - 85: - CCS PLC chip temperature – Signal above allowable range Overview: ISO Code P3083 - 85 Customer Symptom Vehicle would not go into charging mode in fast charging Fault Effects (On Vehicle) The vehicle is drivable and slow charging is possible but DC Fast charging will not happen Lamp Status (If Any) Charging fault indication lamp is ON over the cluster when fast charging gun is plugged in vehicle charging inlet socket Fault Detection Condition DC FAST charging stopped since PLC chip temperature sensor signal above allowable range Normal Operating Condition DC fast charging is happening Probable Trouble Area EVCU ground and battery supply connections Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory Component Details: PLC Communication chip is part of EVCU which act as receiver and transmitter of PLC Communication. Preliminary Checks: NA 1. Remove the LV battery connections Step No. Description Check point If Yes If No 1. Remove the LV battery connections. Recouple EVCU connectors Try Fast Charging and Check for reoccurrence of fault code P305A-04 using TML diagnostic tool. Go to Step 2 2. Check Continuity between EVCU's supply pins and Battery terminals Check continuity between EVCU's supply pin C776A-4,5,6 and battery positive terminal and continuity between EVCU's ground pin C776A-2,3 and battery negative terminal Problem is in EVCU. Action: Replace EVCU and try Fast Charging Problem is in wiring harness between Battery and EVCU
