P a g e | 42 C0037-62:- Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor- Signal Compare Failure Overview: ISO Code C0037-62 Customer Symptom Warning Light Displayed Fault Effects (On Vehicle) EBD – Available(Degraded Function), ABS & ESP – Not available Lamp Status (If Any) ABS – ON, EBD – OFF, ESP – ON Fault Detection Condition WSS is not functioning as expected or Tire/Rim size is not matching to other wheels Normal Operating Condition i VBAC ECU is functional in between 10V to 16V. RL WSS gives correct information to i VBAC ECU. Probable Trouble Area 1. Tire/Rim size not matching to other wheels 2. Worn/Physical Damage to Magnetic Encoder and WSS head. 3. Loose contact/intermittent short in the WSS line. 4. WSS dislodging from bracket / WSS not securely fastened. 5. Too much air gap. 6. WSS Sensor defective. Healing Condition Fault identification and rectification/ WSS replacement Component Details: Wheel Speed Sensor: A wheel speed sensor is part of the Electronic Stability Program (ESC). It is located on the Knuckle Assembly (for front wheels) and on rear twist Beam (for Rear Wheels). The job of the wheel speed sensor is to constantly monitor and report the rotational speed of each tire to the ESC control module. Preliminary Checks: Check Electrical connections between WSS and Vehicle side wiring harness. Check air gap. It should be within range Check Magnetic Encoder and WSS head for wear and tear. Check WSSRL mounting.
