PSCM DTC Troubleshooting Guide for Mando EPAS Version: 1.1 Date: 14/01/2019 Author: E&E Chassis - ERC Page8 Component Details: Steering Torque Sensor – The torque sensor detects the twist of the torsion bar and converts the applied torque into an electrical signal. The PSCM ECU uses that signal to calculate the amount of power assist the DC motor should provide. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check visually torque sensor connector and wiring harness to PSCM ECU for any damage/open. In case of damage replace the steering column. 2. Visually check ECU torque sensor connector for damage. In case of damage replace the ECU. Trouble Shooting YES NO YES YES NO 1. Ensure Pin 5 & Pin 2 of torque and angle sensor is not open. 2. Ensure Pin 6 & Pin 7 of torque and angle sensor is not open. 3. Ensure Pin 8 & Pin 4 of torque and angle sensor is not open. 4. Ensure Pin 5 & Pin 6 of torque and angle sensor is not short. 5. Ensure Pin 6 & Pin 8 of torque and angle sensor is not short. 6. Ensure Pin 7 & Pin 2 of torque and angle sensor is not short. 7. Ensure Pin 7 & Pin 4 of torque and angle sensor is not short. Ensure fuse on ignition line & ignition pin 1 of vehicle side connector [KET MG645937] is not open Is DTC Present Stop Replace Wiring harness Replace ECU Is DTC Present Replace Steering Column Is DTC Present NO
