P0302-92: Misfire detected on cylinder 2 in gasoline mode Overview: ISO Code P0302-92 Customer Symptom Driveability get affected, Ignition cut OFF Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Poor driveability. 2. Misfire / Backfire. 3. Exhaust heat up. 4. Threat to damage catalytic converter Lamp Status (If Any) MIL ON after 3 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if any of the Cylinder Spark plug misfire is detected randomly Normal Operating Condition Proper firing by spark plugs and proper fuel injection by Injectors. Probable Trouble Area Injectors/Spark Plugs faulty wiring Harness connections, Clogged Injectors, Faulty Spark Plugs, HT cables, low compressor pressure, improper valve clearance, improper valve timing, Faulty ECT Sensor. Healing Condition Ignition ON and after 3 drive cycles Fault present deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4.ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: The CNG Fuel injectors are normally closed solenoid valves which operate when the electromagnetic core is energized by ECU. Based on engine operating conditions, ECU adjusts injection pulse widths to inject precise amount of fuel required. Ignition coil works on the principle of secondary high voltage generation by induction, primary of coil is triggered by the ECU which maintains required dwell time to energize the coil. A spark plug is a device for delivering electric current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber of a sparkignition engine to ignite the compressed fuel/air mixture by an electric spark, while containing combustion pressure within the engine. Preliminary Checks: 1. Faulty Wiring Harness connections of Injector cylinder / Ignition Coil 2. Clogged Injector cylinder 3. Faulty Ignition Coil A /HT Cables / Spark Plugs. 4. Low Compression Pressure 5. Improper valve clearance 6. Improper Valve timing 7. Faulty ECT Sensor
