Check if, DPF inlet temperature is above 550 deg C on an average Use Service tool to trigger Regen and to monitor temperature Step 7 If the temperature doesn’t rise above 550 deg C, Change DOC Remove and replace Associated Parameters: Parameter Label Description DID Monitoring Before DPF temperature Particulate filter inlet temperature FEC9 Maintains above 550 deg C (check 10 mins after service regen trigger) when regen is active DOC in temperature estimate DOC inlet temperature FE34 Maintains above 250 deg C when regen is active (check 10 mins after service regen trigger) Verification condition: Warm up the engine and perform DPF service regen. Average DPFinlet temperature will be above 550degC,if DOC related issues are resolved. Circuit Description: A diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) is an aftertreatment component that is designed to convert carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water. During DPF regeneration, the exothermal reaction due to the Post2 pulse combustion in the catalyst leads to a temperature increase. The associated exothermal efficiency is the criterion used to perform the diagnostic. When the required conditions are met, this estimated efficiency is compared to a minimum efficiency (function of catalyst bed temperature) which should be achieved for a FUL part.
