EGR wiring short circuit to supply 2. EGR connector loose connection 3. Electrical wiring damage 4. ECU connector loose connection 5. EGR malfunctioning 6. ECU terminal pin damage/bend 1. MIL lamp ON 2. Reduced vehicle performance 3. Disabled drive mode option Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: 1. Check for nominal battery voltage at Ignition off (Nominal range – 11.5V to 12.8V) Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the EGR connector is connected properly. Remove and connect again properly - Step 2 Check whether the ECU connector is connected properly - Step 3 Check for any pin backout or damage in the ECU & EGR EVRV connector - Step 4 Check for continuity between sensor connector pins 1, 2, 4,5,6 and ECU pins A68, A73,A45,A89,A56 respectively. - Step 5 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 6 Check the EGR module physically for any damage - Step 7 If the problem persists, replace the EGR module - Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition
