EGR wiring open circuit or short circuit to ground 2. EGR connector loose connection 3. Electrical wiring 4. ECU connector loose connection 5. EGR malfunctioning 6. ECU connector pin backout 7. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 1. MIL lamp ON Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: 1. Check for nominal battery voltage at Ignition off (Nominal range – 11.5V to 12.8V) Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the EGR connector is connected properly. Remove and connect again properly - Step 2 Check whether the ECU connector is connected properly - Step 3 Check for any pin backout or damage in the ECU & EGR EVRV connector - Step 4 Check for continuity between sensor connector pins 1, 2, 4,5,6 and ECU pins A68, A73,A45,A89,A56 respectively. - Step 5 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 6 Check the EGR module physically for any damage - Step 7 If the problem persists, replace the EGR module -
