EGR malfunctioning – EGR valve is not meeting the demand as expected. 2. EGR valve stuck condition 3. Incorrect EGR valve learning 4. EGR connector loose connection 5. Oil deposits or grease in connectors 6. Electrical wiring damage 7. ECU connector loose connection/ Pin backout 8. ECU terminal pin damage/bend 1. MIL Lamp On 2. Reduced vehicle performance 3. Disabled drive mode option Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: Check for any other Electrical faults related to EGR or ECU are present. If present, address it first. Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the EGR connector is connected properly. Remove and connect again properly - Step 2 Check for continuity between EGR connector pins 1, 2, 4,5,6 and ECU pins A68, A73,A45,A89,A56 respectively. - Step 3 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 4 Check the EGR connector physically - Step 5 Perform EGR valve cleaning & learning routines using service tool and check whether the fault is cleared - Step 6 Perform EGR actuator test using service tool. At engine not running condition, Demand 0% and 100% of EGR position. EGR position feedback should match the demand -
