Exhaust leakage 2. Leakage in EGR module 3. Blockage like Orifice plate in EGR path 4. Deposition of soot in EGR path 5. ECU terminals loose connection 6. EGR valve malfunctioning. 7. Leakage in airpath 8. Wiring Harness damage 9. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 1.MIL Lamp On 2.Reduced vehicle performance 3. Engine Misfiring Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: Check for any other faults like AMF faults, ECU faults, electrical faults related to EGR etc are present. If present, address it first. Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the EGR connector is connected properly. Remove and connect again properly - Step 2 Check for continuity between EGR connector pins 1, 2, 4,5,6 and ECU pins A68, A73,A45,A89,A56 respectively. - Step 3 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 4 Check the EGR connector physically - Step 5 Check and arrest the exhaust gas leakage, if leaking - Step 6 Check and arrest the airpath leakage, if leaking - Step 7 Clean the EGR cooler module with pressurized air Pressure not more than 2bar Step 8 Clean the EGR Path with pressurized air Pressure not more than 2bar
