Circuit Description: ECM in accordance with engine and driving conditions gives a electric output to directly drive a DC motor (Part of EGR module) which in turn drives the EGR valve. Hence ECM indirectly controls the opening and closing of EGR valve. EGR plays an important role in emissions control by altering rate of flow of exhaust gases from exhaust manifold.
