Cylinder 4 injector connector open circuit 2. Cylinder 4 injector connector not connected or loose 3. Wiring harness connector fault 4. Faulty injector 5. Faulty ECU 6. ECU connector pin backout 7. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 1. MIL Lamp ON 2. Idle speed raised 3. Reduced performance 4. Vehicle Misfire possible 5. Vehicle might not start 6. NOx, DPF regeneration inhibited. Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: 1. Check battery voltage at ignition off (nominal range - 11.5V to 12.8V) Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check if injector connector is fitted properly. Rectify if necessary - Step 2 Check for pin back outs on injector or ECU connector. Rectify if necessary - Step 3 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 4 Check for wiring harness circuit continuity between Cylinder 3 injector pins 1,2 to ECU pins A64, A85 respectively. If there is any discontinuity, correct the wiring. Refer circuit diagram Step 5 Check injector coil electrical continuity Replace injector, if continuity is not present - Step 6 If problem persists, Replace ECU - Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition.
