This document must not be used in any w ay, such as copying and redistributing to third parties, w ithout our consent Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check Rail Pressure sensor physically for any damage - Step 2 Check whether the Rail pressure sensor connector is connected properly - Step 3 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 4 Check for any pin backout or damage in ECU connector or rail pressure sensor connector. - Step 5 Check for any damage in rail pressure sensor connector - Step 8 Water or Corrosion in Rail pressure sensor or connector - Step 6 Check the continuity between rail pressure sensor connector pins 1, 2, 3 and ECU connector pins A40, A46 & A19respectively - Step 7 If the problem persists, replace the rail along with the sensor - Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition. Circuit Description: The Rail pressure sensor is located on the fuel rail. Its function is to monitor the fuel pressure in the common rail. Sensor is used by the ECM as a part of the calculation for the % of the duty cycle applied to the Fuel Pressure Control valve and Fuel quantity control valve.
