Exhaust manifold temperature (T3) sensor short to ground 2. Check for loose or corroded connectors or terminals 3. Broken wires or missing insulation may cause a short directly to ground 4. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 1. CE Lamp ON 2. Reduced vehicle performance 3. Disabled drive mode option Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp on Malfunction Indicator Lamp off Checkpoints: Check battery voltage at Ignition off (Nominal range – 11.5V to 12.8V) Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend. Check the ECU connector for any damage or pin backout - Step 2 Check for corrosion on connectors and terminals - Step 3 Check for broken wires and missing insulation - Step 4 Check the continuity of ECU connector pins - A38, A17 to the T3 sensor pins 1, 2 respectively - Step 5 If there is any missing continuity or cross continuity, correct the wiring. - Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition.
