Rail pressure sensor supply pin is short circuited 2. EMS ECU has internal short circuit 3. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 4. ECU connector pin backout 1. MIL lamp ON 2. Engine may not start or start then stop, 3. Engine hesitation and noise 4. Reduced vehicle performance 5. Disabled drive mode option Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: 1. Check battery voltage at Ignition off (Nominal Range ~11.5 V to 12.8V)) Trouble Shooting: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check for any damage or corrosion on connectors and terminals of ECU, Rail pressure sensor - Step 2 Check for broken wires and missing insulation - Step 3 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend. Check the ECU connector for any pin backout - Step 4 Check whether the supply voltage is 5 V in rail pressure connector pin no. 3 - Step 5 Remove the ECU terminals and Check if rail pressure sensor supply pin (A46) is short with ground Use multimeter to check continuity Step 6 Remove rail pressure sensor connector & connect it to new rail. After 5 power latches with only ignition ON check. If fault is resolved replace rail. Replace part if has internal short circuit
