High boost pressure than the demand 2. The VGT is either stuck closed causing the turbo to spin higher than normal, thus causing the over boost. 3. The mechanical link from the VGT actuator to the flaps inside the turbo is bent. 4. Vanes or mechanical linkage are stuck in VGT 5. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 6. ECU terminal pin backout 1. CE Lamp ON 2. Reduced vehicle performance 3. The engine may show signs of overheating. 4. Additional codes associated with the condition may get set. 5. The engine may misfire. Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp on Malfunction Indicator Lamp off Checkpoints: Check for any VGT related electrical faults or Throttle/VGT learning related faults or Throttle position error fault (P2101-00). If present, address it first. Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check for electrical short circuit in VGT related ECU pins – A92, A71, A4, A5, A8 - Step 2 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend. Check the ECU connector for any pin backout - Step 3 Check whether the VGT is either stuck closed thus causing the over boost. Use Service tool to actuate the VGT by demanding 100% and 0% of VGT position. If the VGT does not meet the demand, let the engine to cool down and check again. -
