Clean the carbon deposits without damaging the O2 sensor. - Step 7 Check for Air or Exhaust leak. Arrest leakages. - Step 8 If the problem persists, replace the O2 sensor 1 - Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition with many accelerations followed by decelerations for 20 mins. Circuit description: The enabling conditions have been defined to identify the conditions where the upstream WRAF sensor signal can be accurately compared to the commanded AFR. To avoid false failure due to injectors drift or air estimation error, the diagnostic will be enabled only when the AFR closed loop control is active. The control will adjust the fuel quantity to match the measured AFR with the commanded one, and if the closed loop control reaches its maximum correction authority and still cannot reach the target, the rationality fault will be raised.
